Homeless No More will celebrate the addition of SC Works Connection Point lab to St. Lawrence Place with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (March 20, 2026) — Homeless No More’s (HNM) transitional shelter, St. Lawrence Place, will welcome the addition of an SC Works Connection Point lab with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 26.
The Connection Point is a computer lab that provides information on career services via the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce and SC Works. The lab will serve as a valuable resource to adults in HNM’s programs, connecting them with employment opportunities that suit their unique skillsets. The Connection Point will be open to users Monday-Friday with an HNM staff member on-site to provide assistance.
“We know from decades of data that the homeless families served by HNM must increase their income in order to achieve financial and housing stability,” said HNM President and CEO Lila Anna Sauls. “This Connection Point is the perfect addition to our existing life skills program.”
The Connection Point at St. Lawrence Place joins an extensive statewide network that connects the public with access to technological resources for employment. The lab will support St. Lawrence Place residents who work to achieve financial independence, starting with strengthening their workforce skills and professional capabilities.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at St. Lawrence Place (2400 Waites Rd) marking the official opening of the lab. Community members are invited to tour the lab and hear from HNM and SC Works leadership.
