Homeless No More Announces 2025 Stars So Bright Honorees  

COLUMBIA, S.C. (July 15, 2025)– Homeless No More is proud to announce its 2025 Stars So Bright Community Star honorees—individuals and organizations who shine a light of hope across South Carolina through service, leadership, and impact. This year’s celebration will take place Friday, September 12, from 7-9 p.m. at The Mansion on Blanding. 

The 2025 Community Stars to be honored include: 

  • Cathy Monetti, Riggs Partners 

  • Trevor Knox, Terminix Service, Inc. 

  • JT McLawhorn, Columbia Urban League 

  • Naomi Popa, WIS News 10 

  • Kudzu Queens 

  • Lexington County Council 

“Stars So Bright is a celebration of the Midlands community—its strength, diversity, and compassion,” said Dr. Lila Anna Sauls, president and CEO of Homeless No More. “We look to our Stars as beacons of inspiration. They remind us of what’s possible when we come together to lift up families facing homelessness.” 

Homeless No More has served families in crisis across the Midlands for more than 30 years through emergency shelter, transitional housing, and comprehensive family services. All proceeds from Stars So Bright will support these vital efforts. Homeless No More serves homeless and at-risk children in the Midlands through emergency shelter (Family Shelter), transitional shelter (St. Lawrence Place), and affordable housing development (Live Oak). Homeless No More is the only shelter system in the state of South Carolina that keeps the entire family together – including fathers and boys over the age of 12.
